Welcome to another hands-on study post by Armstrong Computers — a place where vision meets excellence. This edition features the November/December 2015 Level Two Word Processing NVTI past question to help learners better understand question structure and improve exam readiness in Microsoft Word.

Our goal is to make ICT education accessible to every student willing to learn, grow, and build a digital future. These questions combine real-world formatting skills and foundational knowledge — empowering students to excel not only in exams but in their careers.

SECTION A – Theory (Click to View Answers)

1. Explain the term Line Spacing
Line spacing is the vertical space between lines of text in a paragraph. It helps improve readability. Common settings include Single, 1.5, and Double spacing.
2. Describe Page Break
A page break separates one page from the next. It forces content to begin on a new page. Insert it using Insert > Page Break or Ctrl + Enter.
3. How will you set Line Spacing to 1.5?
Select the text → Go to the "Home" tab → Click "Line and Paragraph Spacing" → Choose 1.5.
4. State THREE WIZARDS in MS Word
Envelope Wizard, Fax Wizard, Resume Wizard.
5. Describe Data Source
A data source is a file (often a table or spreadsheet) that contains variable information used for mail merge, like names and addresses.
6. When will you use a Table document?
When presenting data in rows and columns — such as schedules, price lists, or memos — to organize content clearly.
7. How will you preview a document before printing?
Go to File > Print to open Print Preview. This shows how the document will look on paper.
8. TWO methods for inserting page numbers
1. Insert tab → Page Number → Choose position
2. Double-click the header/footer area → Insert page number directly.
9. Describe Find and Replace
This feature allows users to search for specific words/phrases and replace them throughout the document. Shortcut: Ctrl + H
10. Define Clipboard
Clipboard is temporary memory used when you cut/copy text or objects. You can paste its contents elsewhere using Ctrl + V.
