SECTION A – Theory Questions
1. List five documents types or file types you can insert into MS Publisher environment.

2. What is page part?
A Page Part in Publisher is a pre-designed content layout such as headings, titles, or sidebars that can be inserted quickly into a page to save time.
3. Define embedded objects and state the functions of it.
Embedded objects are files like images or charts inserted into a Publisher file that become part of the file itself. They can be edited and moved without needing to open another program.
4. Differentiate between shape fill and shape outline.
Shape fill changes the inside color of a shape; shape outline changes the border color and thickness around a shape.
5. What is a template?
A template is a pre-formatted design that serves as a starting point for a new publication.
6. Calculate this from feet into inches. 8ft by 6ft
1 foot = 12 inches, so 8ft = 96 inches and 6ft = 72 inches. Final result: 96in x 72in
7. Describe the TWO types of watermarks in MS Publisher.

SECTION B – Practical Publisher Brochure Design
Instructions: Use Microsoft Publisher to complete the following:
- Launch Microsoft Publisher
- Select the brochure layout entitled "Borders" (tri-fold layout)
- Change the heading font to a sans serif font (e.g., Arial)
- Change a body text font to a serif font (e.g., Times New Roman)
- Fill in all empty spaces to complete the brochure
- Turn off hyphenation for text boxes
- Apply a new color scheme
- Add a clip art image
- Make your own custom changes (e.g., colors, lines, text)
- Save and print with your name and index number
